It seems now that me acquiring web access from home is near-inevitable.

So from next Monday i will likely be resurrecting my activities on /Metropolis Spring/ this mod.

If anyone is out here, and would like to participate - now is the time to mention it.

hey i know this engine so are we planning to make a UA2 on this ?

I'm not that sure about "we", but i for one did make a few steps in that direction, yes. You can find and download them if you read the topic carefully enough ;)

hello there...
i just wanted u to know there are other basic engines which are very interesting concerning the remake of UA (UA 2)...some of them are free and others not.. but its worth a look : http://www.moddb.com/engines
there is an engine that is not listed on that website.. but youll probably know it.. its called DarkBasic.. the language is in comp. to other languages like C ++ .. much "easier"..

ah, DarkBasic. I have that, along with the FPS centric engine they also designed. It's OOP for the most part. But i never had the time to get into it.

I am, however, proficient with 3D modelling software.
I am both Devast8tor71 from the old days of UAHQ, and Tigerhawk71.

What software?

Paint?

OOO draw?

Blender?

I use OOO as it is pretty advanced for a WYSIWYG editor

Rhinoceros 3D. To give you some idea, they used Rhino to make the models for the Spiderman movies, and animated them in other software (Maya i think)

I dicovered this game when I was 13 years old. That was 10 years ago. And it grabbed me in a way that no other game has. I have played the expansion as my beloved Taerkastens and i was thrilled. But as this thread suggests it would be frekan amazing if a bunch of the programmers at Stoudsan would band together and use a new engine to create a whole new UA. Forgive me for joining the community of Stoudsan and having no C++ skills or artistic skillz at all. I'm just a man who seriously enjoys the depth of a good game storyline and game itself. All i could do is grav some pom poms and cheer you all on cuz of my love for Urban Assault. Please let me know how the creation of the new version of UA is coming from any of you who are working on it

well i am no c++ pro either i am a modder and thereri could only make levels and balacne things out .. as it seems microsoft ( brons said it) is worknig on UA2 or knid of UA2 ...well greetings ^^
