I'm currently working on a UA2 Project written with the Dark GDK Engine (it's free ). Well and I have already made the Basic Game mecanism like spawning new Vehicles and moving them around in the Map. I'm currently working on a small AI for the Tanks... I've openend a new SourceForge Project (https://sourceforge.net/projects/ua2/) so everyone can contribute I am looking for some volunteers who want contribute Code, Images, Objects etc... also I need some Testers. I think the first milestone would be Resistance with max. 3 Vehicles with working Map and Hud (and AI maybe).
Suggestions, improvements appreciated.

Create new Folder, Right click and select SVN Checkout -> Url of repository is https://ua2.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/ua2
To Update SourceCode simply right click on Project Folder and select "Commit"
For creating the Vehicles I'm using Google Sketchup 8 with the DirectX exporter Plugin. When someone is interested creating Vehicles I've got an example in the Attachments. + 2 Sprites for ingame HUD

And don't give up, if you feel you want to add much more interesting scripts, you can always remake the DarkGDK Engine several times, or if some vital functions can't be added, you can always ask help to everyone to make a 100% custom engine that also contain all basic UA and DarkGDK engine functions.
UA is by far the most enjoyable game I've ever played!
I'm an experienced developer, and I'd love to contribute to this in any way!
i have experience with C++ and Delphi, and X86 assembler, Have worked with OpenGL and QT and various toolkits, Done stuff involving 2d/3d graphics, multimedia, networking, data compression, machine learning, been coding for 23 years now.
