ibought an ipod

Post by Roland985 » Sat Sep 25, 2010 12:17 pm

I got the forth genration shuffle to replace my ageing nano. It has no screen, and yet I can navigate faster via voiceover. I love it, I really do!

Thats the link.

What portable media players have you got?

Hmmm, the shuffle third gen sucked in my opinion, you only could navigate it with three buttons. The Fourth gen has nice playback buttons plus voiceover. Its fun too.
Only problem, it comes in 2 GB only, good enough for only 33 hours of music at 128 KBPS AAC. I hate the song count estimations of the number of songs apple gives out, it is inaccurate and I think it would serve apple better to say the total hours the device has. But thats alright, the battery lasts only 15 hours. And 15 hours is more like 17 from CNETS, and other tests.

An iphone 4 eh? At my campus, my IT teacher has got one plus 2 of my buddies, and they seem to be popping up. Only problem is, they are all so brilliant but apple does limit them significantly.

The shuffle cost me only 70 dollars. Thats cheap over here...

I'm okay with a few limitations, I use my actual computers and laptops for actual work.
lets not forget, we're talking about portable music boxes and handheld phones, with a few extra's tact on.

Personally, I'm going to use that i4 to replace my breaking-down iTouch, while preserving my pattern of hardware usage: Upgrades Only!(Retina display, sound system, storage)

For me, this occurs because Nokia, Blackberry and others has mobiles for business use. The best with sound quality is Apple and SonyEricsson Walkman series, at least what they are sold here are the best in sound quality...

The bad thing is because 128kbps is the best of sound quality the majority run with the real quality...

I'm satisfied about my mp3 player, used to own a philips one that I can gladly nominate to be the worst mp3 player on the damn planet. Don't know what you mean with lossless, most of my files on it are mp3 or apple's lossy m4a. All around 224 - 320 kbps tho.
