All hail the hourglass

Post by O Y ME » Thu Sep 18, 2008 2:32 am

OK you human faction wimps and sulgogar pigs, it's time you showed fear of a true weapon of war. The Hourglass. This thing does 800 points of damage per 4 shots with a 2 second reload time. Easy to maneuver, and has a slow speed to allow you to stay in view with those tanks and host stations. Even aircraft can get killed by this thing if they get careless. And to top it all off, it's so awesome that even the AI can fly this thing correctly.

yea they are awesome..... for destroying and picking up plasma residue from.Oh come on the hourglass is a piece of crap, i have never battled to get past them once. I use foxes and weasels to own them and use wasps to clean up the ones retreating. This vehicle may be good against the guys you fight against but for me they are nothing but a source of free energy ;)

It can be an easy kill when it's AI controled, but it can kill 4 tigers or 2 leonids in 1.5 seconds. It there anything else that even comes close?

I have to agree with john, it owns tanks and hosts. Well done, O Y ME, for getting back with Lefty and his ALL HAIL THE SERP.

Ah, but don't forget that Serps can cost-effectively destroy Hourglasses! =D

To be serious though, the hourglass is a great vehicle, and probably my favorite Mykonian vehicle, just because it's moderately fast and pretty powerful.

And lets not forget that serps in large numbers can be devastating to any and all flying vehicles the hourglass may have high damage potential but remember that all myko vehicles have weak shielding and are easily destroyed

Well, taerkastens RELY purely on the serp against the mykonians as they 1 shot all mykonian units. Of course without it, the hourglass or myko bomber would kill all ground units while the quadda or air stick would kill all air units. I do believe that the ground cube would nicely solve the situation with that pesky serp.

When it comes to the ground cube i use the wasp and nail it in a few shots or use marauders to own it. lets face it, if it were not for the mykos having such powerful weaponry they would always get killed by any of the factions.
