What is the records of the game? We can put this on wiki, but we have to put the save game link to prove the record...

Re: Some weird taerkasten units?
Back in the UAHQ days, people posted their times for completion of levels/entire game. It would take a little bit of time to find them, if they even exist anymore... I believe a large portion of the posts on that forum have been lost, for whatever reason.MarcOlle wrote:BTW( I think this means 'By The Way')

Re: Some weird taerkasten units?
we can create a section to this, like the records of completion of levels\entire games (original, expansion or custom) and the best can has "achievements" on forum...

I've always though that the Ostwind is a remake of the old rocket wagon from long ago. That is not it's exact name but it fired many rocket arrows at the enemy. The Ostwind looks like a mobilized version of that vehicle.

Re: Some weird taerkasten units?
Maybe, but I think it's more probably based on the soviet Katyusha rocket launcher. It looks like it and some names of the graphics models also suggest this.superbob1998 wrote:I've always though that the Ostwind is a remake of the old rocket wagon from long ago. Not all Ormus are mine. When in doubt, please ask...Matthew Lever wrote:Take out Ormus as soon as you see them.

But I thought Katyusha was developed for an attack of ground target.

Re: Some weird taerkasten units?
Yeah, the Katyuskas were developed to attack ground enemies rather than air units.
Although the Ostwind is not a truck like a Rock Sled, since it rides on treads, and it uses SAM missiles instead of ground rockets...
...technically speaking, the UA MD Ostwind design is like a fusion between the Katyuska (by the multiple rocket launcher) and the SA-13 Gopher (both move on treads), and despite the Taerkastens vehicles are around the World War I/ II, this makes technically the Ostwind the most evolved Taerkasten vehicle along with the Phantom.
Just sayin', have you seen sometime a Katyuska vehicle pic with treads instead of just free tires? Look that SA-13 pic:
