Ok, I thought I'd get mine back. I'm a fan of the Taerkastens, but put a Hetzel up against a Gigant and the Hetzel gets owned. The Gigant fires laser pulses, .5 of a second (if that) reload time, and 35% armour. Its got great firepower and will cook anything that stands still for long enough.

I love the Gigant except for one thing.

The flipping saucercraft can't blasted pitch. To change my firing angle I have to hover the whole thing downwards, and the only direction it shoots is flat. It's borderline impossible to try a groundstrafe.

Those pulse cannons are sweet, though.

I find this slightly weird - vehicles such as the Hetzel, Gigant, and Quadda cannot shoot upwards or downwards if human controlled. However, if you let the AI use them (get them to capture a sector or something), they will gladly angle their shots upward or downward! Not fair :(

idk O Y ME, in the training videos it says that the hat switch aims your weapon independent of your view, so far i've ONLY seen tank vehicles have this feature, nothing else seems to be affected by the hat switch.. but this is just me with a USB gamepad, a fake xbox360 controller, "logitech chillstream".

i DO have a microsoft sidewinder but it's a gameport only and idk if it will even work on a 64-bit system such as mine...

The Gigant costs 900 energy, has 35% armour and does around 1033 damage per second with the AI controlling it.
The Quadda costs 380 energy, has 58% armour and does around 829 damage per second with the AI controlling it.

The Quadda is a lot less than half the cost, has far more armour and nearly does the same amount of damage. I think it is better.

The gigant is awesome but i like using the tien ying 7 its missile absolutely destroys quaddas in 2 shots

The quadda is doomed when a Falcon or any type of plane appears. Even a Ying could total one.

Ok, so anti-aircraft planes annihilate Quaddas. Is a Gigant any better? It may turn fast, but it still flies like a Zeppelin. Also take into account that you have 2 and a half Quaddas per Gigant.
