I was thought about new idea if I remake UA for a REALLY LONG TIME. but modding the game by myself quenched lots of desire.
from the 'water' stroyline, that is impossible. Big Mistake noticed that 'ocean is dead'. and the waters are REALLY VANISHED FROM THE EARTH.

Taer on Black Wadi, Wadi mean river. but there is a desert.
Pirate Islands of Chinese sea, Those rocked hills are 'islands'. so it mean lower part was water area.
No more Tide, Ditto.
Sibuna, the Anubis canyon was built for Black Sect operation area and their nerve center is located in a deep canyon valley 0.8 kilometer below sea level.

You know, the city we fight on UA are plasma-riched pocket zone. That would be impossible to build a large pocket zone as they can revive the ocean.

A by itself is lame. Either B or C are workable. E is fine, but there's the question of what to do for the SDU7 era to make it not a rehash of UA1 (maybe look at the battles in other regions?)

C would probably be more feasible for people to make. Besides, if we had D, it wouldn't make sense for the plot. If humans have enough spacecraft to be able to wage battle in space, why didn't they just ship everyone off the planet? It's nuked to death anyway, so no point in staying.

E is lame. I don't quite understand C, but maybe that's just me--factions should be unique, not mix and match. I don't know anything about B as I've never played a game with this mechanic. A is a must, of course.

No strong opinion. Land units wouldn't be able to go into the water though. Or if they did, kill 'em off instantly or something. If they could, *then* that would be odd. Of course, specially designed amphibious vehicles are fine on that front. Meh.

Strategy would be interesting if the mechanic that only the Host Station creates units is kept, because then holding power stations (or equivalent) close to the water and denying the same to your enemies may confer a nice advantage, especially if there is water access to other strategic points.

I believe the difference is the A is to delete some old vehicles snd create a lot new...
And C is to keep all old vehicles and create vehicles only when necessary (like a tank to Sulgogars :P )

Let me explain.
Cross-factions is like when you don't simply destroy enemy HS but capture it some way. Thus not only you get bonus (+100 beam gate or something), but enemy technology or unit. It is way harder to do, and enemy may do it before you and get some of that stuff. For example, you didn't have time to capture Taers, and they were captured by ghorkovs, who can make serp rush...
But C is lame. It is not an option for "New factions" question. It is new feature question.
"B" is simple. Instead of having one faction, we multiply it by 4 and introduce 3 more modified sub-factions for each of it. For example: Resistance: ordinary resistance, Defence resistance (which has heavy artillery, cheaper flaks and bigger range for 'em), Recon Resistance (which has lots of light units with big radar range and fast speed) etc.

A means there will be 50 more resistance units.
C means there will be no new resistance units. There would be pre-units: abrams instead of Tiger, M113 for weasel, apache for hornet, etc; and in future there would be some new versions of our units)

B+C means you capture sectors with special research centers, and they generate firepower or armor research points. you can remake them so they will research something selected, e.g. only armor. It's just ideas, I didn't decided it seriously.

Of course. I think there should be more missions that you can't win at first. You try to beam out and capture as much as you can on your way out.
There should be objectives like "Mykonian wiring is crawling to human reservation. Help people evacuate and hold wiring as long as you can" or something like that. It's plot, not gameplay )

Simply because I feel this would give us the most ground to work with- compared to a prequel or what happened after Parasite city.

Not that either of those options are bad either. :)

The whole earth would be a nice goal to aim for eventually- but it might be better to initially aim for just another area of the world.

Like Australia and the southern areas of Asia perhaps? (Potentially all the way to India)

3. A.

Hopefully at least 1 brand new faction. :)

The other Resistance bases could have easily developed other vehicles rather than what SDU7 got- so definitely.

Especially since- again- it'd be nice if there's 1 new faction. :)

Secondary fire could definitely make things more interesting. :)

Though I suppose this would depend more on the location the game takes place at. :P

But yes- Water could make things interesting.

At the very least amphibious vehicles- though I'm not too sure about water-only vehicles.

I could help with concepts for Factions and units as well- but I'm not sure how well I'd be able to make images for them. :| (I do already have an idea for a Faction if you're curious. :) )

I've thinking about some new feature like :

- New buildings (like building with riflefire for resistance Taerkasten and ghorkov. (with mans inside or something seems like this))

- Acid for sulgogar. They need"buildings". For power plant AND anti ground vehicle. 2 in 1

- Maybe another factions. I think the first conflict (Urban assault 1) is a victory, but some other extraterrestrial ethical group want to take the earth's ressources. And maybe some taerkasten's fidels want to be more technologic and this sect is broken on 2 factions. ( Taerkasten fidels and New Taerkasten or something like this)

- Possibility of choose an alliance at one point of evolution of the campaign. (Choose an alliance : Ghokovs, New tarkasten , Taerkasten's fidels, maybe one extraterrestrial faction.)

- New buildings or a vehicle (like scout) for seeing blacksect's vehicle on radar. ( 3 buildings, 1 level : Seeing 33% of black sect vehicle, level 2 66% etc..)

- I think the sector idea is the strongest point of this game keep this technic.

- Urban assault is one of my best game because it's so simple to play. I think we need to keep this simplicity. (For create building, vehicles etc)

- Our host station move like the others host station, like zepplin, not by teleportation. (very important because it's very easy to play with teleportation.)

That's my ideas, what do you think about ?
