Hello everyone!
First of all - i am so excited to see that this game is not forgotten, there are still a lot of fans and there is an acting forum about my game of a childhood, which affected my life very much :-)

I hope this is not offtopic, what i am gonna say.
What would you like to see in sequel of Urban Assault? What didn't you have in the first UA?
For me, i wish to see contemporary graphics, and... maybe physics... and... man... i don't know if this game can be any better :)

Well im already making plans for a sequel since im going to work in microsoft and they seem interested in making a sequel.

My ideas are:

-the game is based 3 centuries after the destruction of the parasite.
- the world is recovering so there will be new terrain and weather effects.
- New vehicles with some old ones
- new host stations
-2 new factions
- better multiplayer.(lets face it UA's multiplayer is very primitive)
- Team multiplayer
- each faction has a unique "super weapon" at the cost of all your creation energy. (the more energy, the more powerfull)
-each faction will have a story mode and you can choose what faction to play as.
- "Proper missions". (like destroy this, conquer that, protect it till, etc.)
- bigger levels both single and multi
- you can earn medals
- your host station moves instead of Teleporting. However Teleporting can only be accessible after gaining enough medals.( In multiplayer everyone can teleport.

What do you think? 8-)

Thanks for a reply, this is very interesting :)
I can add:
singleplayer is not a set of missions. Have you played world domination in Rise of Nations or CnC3: Kane's wrath? Well, i wish it was something like that. At least like an option. It makes the game always different. And with variety of difficulty settings it can be interesting a lot.
Host station upgrades would be good.
Very interesting option IMO would be possibility to assemble your own units! You discover technologies like advanced homing missile or tritanium armor or heavy tank chassis etc and with these you can make a whole bunch of very different units!
And possibility of mounting 2 weapon types, ie bombs and air-to-air missiles on some planes or heavy tank with ground-to-air missiles to defend himself (like apocalypsis in red alert or mammoth in cnc)

On your suggestion i would say:
3 centuries - good, prequel would be either good :);
New weather - is very good, and it would have to be realized.
New vehicles - look at my concept.
New host stations - can be redesigned with new techs.
New factions - explain please.
Better MP - no comment.
Team MP - really good; I suggest - cooperative campaign and/or world domination!
Superweapons - explain please.
Story mode can be replaced by world domination, but campain is good too.
Proper missions... I can't imagine something, explain please.
Bigger levels - of course.
Medals - explain.
Moving stations - good.

I was just thinking in the same
I like the idea because the mission the only need to destroy the enemy in each level make the game repetitive I like to have more buildings such barricades or different tower as flak station and mobile artillery will be great

This game is on the way. A community project that none of you know about bawhahahahahaha.

You kind of asked for the world though, most of that stuff will take a small project years to create...
At the very least, THERE IS A FUNCTIONAL UA DERIVATIVE ON A MUCH UPDATED ENGINE THAT IS MADE OF WIN AND OWN!

It's bad that we don't know about it, because a fan community can contribute a lot for this project, ie 3d models, coding, concepts and suggestions...

Bronsteijn24... interesting. I was not aware that Microsoft even cared anymore, but hey, not going to complain at all if you convince someone to make this. The world will be a better place.

In the meantime, I'm liking Anarchid's idea!

I wouldn't mind both a remake and a sequel to the game. It'd be pretty interesting to see UA with updated graphics. In any case, I hope a sequel would retain the old factions, and add some new ones.
