So, the font file has finally been uploaded. You can find it here:

I would like to make one of higher quality some day....

In the mean time, enjoy.

Edward Fox wrote:Here is the final mapping.

In order to use the font it is best to disable automatic capitalization and set your keyboard to U.S. International.

Unfortunately I cannot upload the font on the forum. Someone send me a PM so that I can e-mail the font to them and they can post it somewhere.

EDIT: The mapping works like this: the first character is unmodified, the second is capitalized, the third is the alternative (with the Alt Grammar key) and the fourth is the capitalized alternative. Thus the four characters on the "Q" key are q Q ä Ä in that order.

.
OE! Can someone translate that for me? XD i dont understand a damn thing about the picture even though it's a basic keyboard layout. XD

He is saying that each alphanumeric key on your keyboard is capable of making 2 different letters. AND THE CAPITAL VERSIONS AS WELL WHICH IS HANDY FOR SHOUTING. ;)
And all you have to do is use some keys to switch between them.

This writing system has no capital letters. The script is crudely mapped onto a Latin keyboard (U.S. International). You are welcome to give whatever phonetic value you wish to the characters though I intended the script to be able to clearly phonetically represent most sounds found in American English and Standard High German.

Tomorrow I will upload a clean transliteration from Resistance characters to Latin inputs.

The blue characters are added by myself and did not appear in the game. The characters preceded by red tabs duplicate sounds represented elsewhere but were included for a more intuitive German mode.

The grey characters are used to represent what must be entered on a U.S. International keyboard.

Sounds not represented by the characters (such as the "aw" in "saw") should be expressed using the most common Latin convention.

Now I hope I can safely say that I am finished (until I decided that the quality is not high enough).

EDIT: r,R,® are supposed to be initial, initial alternate and medial/final respectively

Look at these. Here is the phrase "Without your sacrifice our destruction is certain." as it would appear with the font installed and not.

Yes, it will require quite a bit of memorization. Even worse (for English) is being forced to think phonetically.

By the way after using the script a bit I noticed that there are a few (very) minor changes that I am going to make, namely switching "n" and "N", the sounds of "U" and "Ú" and adding mappings for "æ" and "Æ". Also "a" should now make the sound of as in "add" not "father".

(As an aside English phonics has drifted so far from being phonetic that adept native readers take in English text in an almost logographic fashion.)
