Banner, please!

Post by leftylink » Wed Jul 23, 2008 3:56 pm

Here's the deal guys. I'm still in the process of finding a new theme for us (basically, I haven't looked at any yet because I'm lazy and I am useless bystander admin)
But as the first step, we need to replace that phpBB banner on the top with something more UA-related.

Currently, the old phpBB2 version of our forums at forumsvibe is inaccessible, so I am unable to access the banner there. If anyone has it saved on the computer, or is willing to make another, that would be absolutely great!

Post any submissions here or PM to me, and I will take them into consideration...

I think that pHpBB2 has been shut down, I have tried countless times to access it but I can't get on.

Here's a rough, basic banner I put together. I tried to make it look like a blueprint of a Fox tank, which I thought suited our name. Go ahead and modify it in photoshop to make it look nicer or anything, but if we do end up using this, a little mention would be appreciated.

Image

If you're interested, the text reads (clockwise from top left):

"M-27 Light Anti-Aircraft Vehicle"
Model "F.O.X."
Prototypeschematic
Prop. STOUDSONCORP."

"Fixed-housing multibarrel machinegun
In 25mm caliber
Effective against infantry, light armour and in close quarters
or enclosed spaces"

(This one's obscured by the big lettering CORP. but just for the curious)
"Quad-engine diesel drive train
Allows maximum movement capability
across various terrain
Diesel engine supplemented with batteries capable of using plasma-reactor
technology"

"Bulletproof molybdenum-stainless alloy body construction
Provides impenetrability against small arms
Highly resistant to standard explosive weaponry
Exterior surface treated with refracting dissipation coating for greater resistance against
directed energy weaponry"

"Double-barreled missile launcher assembly
Firing new prototype
"M-32 Plasma-formed missile"
Type Archer-class Anti-Aircraft use against airborne small vehicles
v6.0.3 guidance systems and programming
Max. fire cap. 2 shots/salvo"

Enjoy!

Thats pretty good, even though no one will read this (except historians from the far future) the falcon might be even better with a sort of half open-half closed type blueprint
