Urban Assualt Easter Eggs

Post by AlexHei » Mon May 13, 2013 9:42 pm

I think, I have found some Easter Eggs. Please I really need help to do some research.
On some of the buildings in the game are there signs that says:
1. Solewira Gantesart Zelesetra Bediart
2. Guru Meditation Error 8100000C / Insane in the Membrane.
3. Akku <64>
4. V.F.M.
-----------
1. I have found nothing, I have tried to trancelate them. and I have tried to write the names in google-mabs.
2. I have googled it and I can see a list over the errors of something. But I can't find Error 8100000C on that list... Link to the list (http://www.amigahistory.co.uk/guruguide.html)
3. The game is from 1998, and only hardware to pc is comming up when I google, and I am not an expert on hardware, but that seems too new for me.
4. Value For Money? I don't think so... I think the acronym is for somthing else.
and that what I could find...

I could not find any other blog/forums about the subject, so forgive me if I missed them...
I have always another idea in my hand :-)

Hello AlexHei,

Welcome to the forums.

I would suspect that 8100000C is some sort of error the developers had when porting from amiga to PC/directX
I would also like to think that VFM would be in german ;)

Welcome again :D

Welcome to the forums AlexHei. Where did you find the first one? Was it on a tech upgrade building?

I have filmed it with my phone, because you can't read it, because it moves too fast...
So I paused my small movie to see what the sign said. And well I got Solewira Gantesart Zelesetra Bediart.
I don't know if you want to see it for your self the short movie I have made. I can send it to you via mail I think..

On tech upgrade buildings it's spelled WundrStaa,, with is a reference to wunderbar... I don't think that is a Easter Egg

Believe or not, these referred quotes were always present in my mind even back in the days when I started to search for the UA once again.
After pondering about the words I'm suspecting at least Akku is mentioning about the some sort of accumulator.

Also by far the only clue about the 8100000C is here: https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgr ... UprCd21Q5Q

Code: Select all

GURU NUMBER: 8100000C
DESCRIPTION(exec): AN_MemoryInsane: Sanity check on memeory list failed during AvailMem (MEMF_LARGEST)
Definitely an Amiga error, the guy called 'Stefan' (hmm...?! perhaps coincidence?) is referring about the error 8100000C.

EDIT: Just came across this thread once again and wanted to notice a very petty information.

The trial version's last level Sturmfront contains a set of deliberately arranged skyscraper sectors which forms two alphabets, 'SK'.
It is supposed to be a self-made easter egg from one of the most prominent game/level designer, Stefan Karau himself.
