Re: "High Res" textures possible

I will look into adding support for "png.class" EMRS type :)

Can you tell me how the color palette would handle a PNG with many colors?

"High Res" textures possible

Today after viewing the textures outside UA, I wondered if it was possible to have 1 vehicle/building/ground unit source it's textures from multiple bitmaps. I did a quick test using a Weasel (also called SIMPL in many internal places) and it seems to be possible. I added a new amesh.class object an...

Re: Stand Alone Model Viewer

I have to admit that Zidanes work has given me insight that I wouldn't have had before (exception being the VisualSourceSafe files). Now the next step is to get the code working inside the BAS Editor (which I also made some changes recently to handle STRC sections better). It's been a while since I ...

Re: Stand Alone Model Viewer

I figured out the problem. My Texture viewer that was made in QT is not rendering (or saving) the image correctly. A manual copy and paste of the bitmap data into the template works great

Stand Alone Model Viewer

So I've been working on a standalone model viewer that works outside of UA. Getting 3D stuff working correctly is so hard and requires many dependencies :( Here's a cool picture of what I've adapted from NeHe (nehe.gamedev.net) Screenshot from 2018-01-20 10-04-44.png The tracks dont have texture map...

Re: Help Me

You need a special shortcut and a registry entry. You cannot double click on ua_xp.exe to have it work now that I am remembering correctly The registry entry can be installed from this ZIP file: http://files.metropolisdawn.com/metropolis-dawn/Expansion%20Test%20registry.zip It assumes that you have ...

Re: Help Me

Hello Usamah, Can you tell us about your computer? Are you using Windows 7, have you tried any "compatibility settings", etc? Looking at the error picture I can see you opened ua_xp.exe which is the expansion pack for Urban Assault. You need the full version of Urban Assault also before using the ex...

So a cease and desist letter is better than wait for Microsoft to answer.... :?
No cease and desist letter would be preferable. My opinion is that we should not host any code that is not our own.
