Re: Questions

Hey,does anyone know which file contains the missionbriefing vehicle icons coordinates? I know that there is a file which is called H_MB. Also, does anyone know why my UA crashes when i try to create a new weapon? By mission briefing vehicle icons, are you referring to those triangle icons that appe...

Re: VIDEO - Urban Assault on VH1 show

The long hymn part of Track 6 (Taerkasten theme) can be also heard during the title sequence of the 2003 documentary series 'Secrets of Archaeology'. Now I am genuinely curious... does anyone know how UA developers designed those in-game sounds? I am aware that the majority of UA sounds is p...

Re: Questions

As far as I remember, it only works with UA_xp.exe... but I'm not completely sure. Maybe I should try. :P Also, as far as I remember you can define more than one level there, e.g. "1 25 26" (without quote marks) as in the original campaign. I didn't knew that you could enable multiple lev...

Re: Questions

Cool,it worked thanks so much :D . Btw,are you good at level map designing? If you are can you tell me how? I'm glad I was able to help! ;) Yes, I've been creating my own custom levels for many years now. Sometimes with my own modified custom sets. But normally, I do not share my works with others ...

Re: Questions

Well, the weird thing is that 'levels' doesnt work. Hmm, then it must be a part of Metropolis Dawn specific function. I should have expected it earlier because I was testing all of these with UA:Source (which supports Metropolis Dawn expansion) until now. So this time I have tested it again on the o...

Using levels.def will also disable L2525 and L2626. Only a single specified level in the definition file will be active.

Re: Questions

Well,I changed all levels numbers, i renamed them from 1 to 41 and i used the old palette and when i opened UA , all the levels appeared :D. But,in UA why when we make a new profile the default starting levels are always the same? Is there a profile which lets me make change the default starting le...

Re: Questions

Well,it worked but still all the levels aren't displayed. The problem is in the index.. Do you know how can i change index places? I discovered that we are able to make about 255 level too is that true? :o I have figured it out; it seems my crude method suggestion of altering the palette was not ve...

Re: Questions

Was the result successful? :P The exported palette data (.pal format) will also preserve the order of indices for all colours, so as long as the modified mask file uses the identical colour set as the original mask file, changing the palette alone should fix the problem. Also, the Ultimate Paint can...

Re: Questions

Hmm... The colour schemes for those level masks are identical to the standard index of colour palette used by UA, but the positions for each level are indeed peculiar. I believe the palette structure of your MASKE.iff file had been somehow altered in some ways, so in order to make it work you will h...
