Re: Questioning of my ideas

2) this was possible a long time ago by configuring the "point of view hat" differently in the microsoft sidewinder joystick settings. Wait, is it really possible to turn the camera as well? I know it's possible to move tank crosshair sideways when using a joystick but I thought you can't change th...

Re: Actual Zeppelin usages for Taer MD/Multiplayer

Radar, static defense, general deterrent, perhaps... Someone once said that you can push the Zeppelin to great heights if you shoot it from below when it's being created and then use it to attack it without getting hit by enemy defenses. I haven't tried this myself but it sounds like a nasty trick. :P

Re: Ghorkovs campaign-host station values

What Windows version are you using? Sounds like UAC might be interfering. What is in this folder? <drive>:\Users\ your_username \AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ The AppData folder is probably hidden so you have to set hidden files visible, or type the path manually into Windows Explorer. See this for mo...

Re: Ghorkovs campaign-host station values

There are many possible reasons. What files did you modify? Were they set "read only" (in which case some text editors may refuse to save the changes)? Is UA installed into Program Files folder (in which case the folder permissions and UAC file system virtualization may be interfering)? If you modif...

Re: Questions

Also,is there a way to add the tutorial host station (faction) into the multiplayer without removing another faction? It's not possible to add other factions to multiplayer. But you can use the drone host station in multiplayer if you set it to one of the allowed factions (Resistance, Ghorkovs, Tae...

Re: Questions

Well, since this topic is about questions I have 2. Is there a way to add more sounds to the game? like the ones used for vehicles, weapons, etc. Yes. The sound files are located in \data\sounds and they follow the WAV format with 11025 Hz sample rate, 8-bit resolution and single channel (mono). Th...

Re: Original UA source code and its legality

This tool is useful if you want to browse the original source: https://github.com/trevorr/vss2git While the original source has all original variable names as well as comments, it lacks the modern features added by Zidane. It's written in C which is not the easiest language for high-level developmen...

Re: Questions

The default aggressiveness level of a unit immediately after creation is always 3 for combat vehicles and 2 for scouts. Changing this by editing the UA executable is possible but impractical. But since CharlotteLabyrinth pointed out the save files, here's something to experiment... Has anyone tried ...
